About the Scholarship

America's Lemon Lawyer is the California lemon law practice of Wynn Law Group, APC, in Los Angeles. Every day we help drivers whose new cars keep breaking down and whose manufacturers will not make it right. California's lemon law, the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, exists because one person with a defective car is no match for a global manufacturer without the law on their side.

We created this scholarship to support students who think about fairness for everyday consumers, whatever they plan to study. Future engineers, nurses, business owners, teachers and lawyers all have a stake in products that work and companies that stand behind them.

Learn More About Our Lemon Law Practice

The scholarship is funded by America's Lemon Lawyer, the consumer brand of Wynn Law Group, APC. If you or someone in your family is dealing with a defective vehicle, our guide to choosing a lemon law attorney in California explains what to look for, and our page on finding a lemon law attorney near you covers how to compare firms. Our guide to California lemon law explains how the law works and what a manufacturer owes you. From our office in Los Angeles, we represent drivers across the state. You can read more about our Los Angeles lemon law attorneys, or about finding lemon law attorneys in San Francisco and lemon law help in Anaheim. You can also learn more about our firm and the people behind it.

Much of our work involves repeated transmission problems and engine defects that dealers have not been able to repair. We represent owners of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, Chevrolet cars and trucks, and Jeep models under California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. The essay prompt asks students to consider the same question our clients face: what should happen when a product someone relies on keeps failing.
